THE HORDE

  • Minion & Brute
The tide. Brutes are slower, hit harder and hold three times the bone.
  • Charger
Winds up in place, then commits to a straight rush. Once it is moving it cannot turn, side-step it.
  • Caster
Keeps its distance and throws bone bolts. It backs off when you close, so it has to be chased or out-ranged.
  • Shieldbearer
A raised shield eats half of everything. Slow, and nearly three times the health, a wall inside the tide.
  • Exploder
Fast and fragile, and it detonates when it dies. Kill it near a crowd on purpose, or near yourself by accident.
  • Elite
Any of the above, amber-lit, with more than double the health. The chance of one rises all night.

ONE NIGHT, MINUTE BY MINUTE

  • 0:00
The first skeletons find you. Swing, move, learn the arc.
  • 0:35
Bone eruptions begin telegraphing under your feet.
  • 1:15
The first dawn shrine opens. Hold the light or lose it.
  • 1:40
Chargers join the tide and start committing to rushes.
  • 2:30
The first round falls. The horde recoils, banked levels are spent at the muster, and the horn brings the surge.
  • 3:30
Casters take up position and open fire from range.
  • 5:00
Exploders arrive. Where you kill starts to matter.
  • 6:00
Shieldbearers wade in and halve your damage.
  • 12:30
The last horn. Round six runs unbroken to dawn; the alive cap keeps climbing toward 220.
  • 14:00
THE COLOSSUS WAKES, and the sky starts to turn at the same moment.
  • 15:00
Gold floods the field. Dawn. If you are standing, you survived the night.

THE COLOSSUS

It slams, and the ring it lands in hurts. But the slam leaves it staggered, and a staggered Colossus takes double damage. The whole fight is that trade: eat the telegraph, take the window.

  • Phase 1, The Slam
Winds up, lands a 5-metre ring, then hangs open for 1.7 seconds.
  • Phase 2, It Calls Its Dead
At two thirds health the horn sounds and eight skeletons rise around it.
  • Phase 3, Enraged
At one third it speeds up and the stagger window shortens to 1.1 seconds.

How the wager works

The staked tables are closed. This is how the wager will work when they open, not a table you can join tonight. FREE NIGHT is live now: it costs nothing and needs no wallet.

1
A rogue guarding a chest of gold coins

STAKE $HORDE

You will pick a tier and sign. One stake will enter all four pool windows at once: six hour, twelve hour, forty eight hour and one week. No funds move tonight.

2
A wave of skeletons with glowing eyes

FIGHT TO DAWN

Same seed, same spawns, same Colossus. Draft your build, hold the light to dawn, then hold the dark as long as you can.

3
The knight raising a torch in victory

WIN THE POT

The short windows rank your run on that exact seed; the long windows rank your best single night. 95% of every pool will go to the winners, and each payout will link to its transaction.

4
The castle under the moon, a new night beginning

REPEAT

A new seed every midnight UTC. Your best night stands in the long pools all week.

The ladder

One seed a night, one board. Runs are ranked by time survived first, kills second. If there is nothing here, we show you nothing, this board never prints a run that did not happen.

Built to be fair

Wagering on skill only works if nobody can cheat and nothing is hidden. That is the whole design.

SKILL DECIDES

Both players fight an identical night, same seed, same spawns, same Colossus at minute fourteen. No RNG edge, no pay-to-win. The only cut is the published 5% rake.

VERIFIED RUNS

Staked runs will be re-simulated from their input logs before a single token moves. The free ladder stays a practice board until then, and says so on its face.

UPGRADES & PERKS

Three cards every level, pick one, plus one reroll and one banish per night. Builds compound until the screen fills with your damage.

OPEN LADDER

A free practice ladder runs every night, no wallet needed. It records your run and pays nothing; the staked tables are closed until replay verification ships.

The pot is a wallet, not a promise

No allocation charts, no projected yields. Winners are paid from a public wallet and every payout is logged. This is what the money actually does.

Targets are gates, not promises. A phase ships when the phase before it has survived real players and real attackers, and not a night sooner.

Questions we get asked

The uncomfortable ones first. If an answer here ever stops being true, the answer changes, not the question.

Has any money moved yet?
No. No funds move before launch. The $HORDE token has not been minted, the prize wallet does not exist yet, and no payout has happened. Everything you can play today is free and costs nothing but time.
Do I need a wallet to play?
No. FREE NIGHT is the entire game, five heroes, every weapon, the Colossus, dawn, with no wallet, no signup and no cost. A staked duel is an optional second mode that needs a wallet and 18+ verification.
Is this gambling?
A staked duel is real-money skill wagering, not a game of chance: both players get the same seed, the same spawns and the same boss, and only the quality of the run differs. That still makes it regulated activity in many places. Staked modes open 18+ only, with regional restrictions and published terms and responsible-play rules. The free night has no wager in it at all.
How do you stop cheaters?
Staked runs will be re-simulated server-side from their input logs before a single token moves, a run that the deterministic sim cannot reproduce does not get paid. That rail is not finished, which is exactly why staked play is not open. The current ladder is client-reported and clearly labelled unverified. Full write-up on the verification page.
Why is the ladder marked "unverified"?
Because it is. Tonight's board takes scores the browser reports, with basic plausibility caps and nothing more. It is a practice board and a funnel toy, not a payout record. We would rather label it honestly than dress it up as a leaderboard it has not earned.
Where is the contract address?
There isn't one yet. $HORDE is not minted. Any address circulating before launch hour is a fake, the real one will appear in the tokenomics block above, in the footer, and on the official X account at the same minute.
What is the rake?
5% of each pot: 2% streamed to stakers, 2% to the treasury that runs the game, 1% burned forever. The remaining 95% goes to the winner. Balances and payouts get published; projections do not.
Is the game finished?
No, and we call it a greybox on purpose. What is live is a complete playable night, five heroes, fifteen weapons with evolutions, six enemy types, environmental events, a three-phase Colossus and a real sunrise, with placeholder art in places and audio still landing. It is far enough along to judge the fight; it is not far enough along to hold your money, which is why it doesn't yet.
What do I need to run it?
A browser with WebGL. It runs on phones with a touch stick and tap-to-strike. If you are on a metered or slow connection, the landing page has a lite mode that skips the ~20 MB cinematic, .

DAWN IS NOT THE END.
